Global Markets Operations (GMO)

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

• ?The role manages the whole FX Option, Base Metal and Collateral Service operations remit covering routine tasks such as daily operations as well as ad hoc items such as new business initiatives, to ensure that sufficient support and controls are in place for sustainable and healthy Markets derivatives business growth in China.

• The role has 6 direct reports at present, with band ranging from 7 to 6. Products covered by the team include FX Option, Base Metal and Collateral Serving, etc. The team serves both traders and sales (including Finical Institution, Corporate and Wealth Management Sales).

• The Role is expected to advice and guide his/her subordinates on wide range of matters. To what extent the guidance details depends on the experience and capability of the subordinates. He/She needs to make sure that high level guidance from entity manager and/or regional functions are followed and actioned on properly. If need, the incumbent will proactively approach entity manager and/or regional functions to seek clarification before making decision or taking action.

• The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology and operational risk. Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements

• With 10 years relevant working experience and product knowledge, with at least 5 years as people manager

• Have high control sense while being innovative using latest tool available in the tech space

• Good inter-personal/management/leadership skills

• Sound knowledge on market norms, products, systems and procedures required to resolve operational, control and people challenges

• Have user experience on related system is a plus, TREATS, GPS, Murex, Apollo, DTP, Summit,etc
