Global Asset Management

HSBC Global Asset Management, the core investment business of the HSBC Group, and is a leader in emerging markets funds. ?This role is the team lead for the finance functions of asset management business. The role will need to set up the finance function, lead and oversee the end to end finance functions including financial and regulatory reporting, financial controls, management reporting, planning and analysis. The role supports the asset management business by providing timely, insightful and forward looking financial analysis to drive business performance and profitability. Key responsibilities including 
?  Full spectrum management of the Finance function including Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Product Finance, Tax, Business Finance for the newly setup asset management entity, as well as Capital Management including recommendation, monitoring, governance and reporting of proprietary fund investment.
?  Collaborate with the business leadership team to drive business strategies by providing insight to the competitive landscape and challenge the business when required.
?  Provide strategic decision support to the Chief Executive Officer and businesses to deliver against the Annual Operating Plan.
?  Ensure timely submission of all regulatory, tax and other external reporting. This includes managing the relationship with external auditors and working with auditors to prepare audited accounts for the company.
?  Oversee effective financial controls and safeguard the entity from losses and fraud, and drive the implementation of the Group reporting requirements and local statutory and accounting requirements.
?  Responsible for Finance system, policy and governance setup, internal Saracen submissions and external regulatory reporting, dividend proposal, monthly VAT filing and annual corporate Tax filing and entity audit, fund expenses reimbursements and trailing fee arrangement with Transfer Agent.
?  Understanding of China’s Asset Management industry. Strong interpersonal skills to manage key stakeholders in a matrix organization, working with the local EXCO and key stakeholders across the bank and Finance teams in country and region.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements

?? A degree qualified CPA/CFA with at least 10 years’ experience in financial industry and preferably with at least 3 years in an asset management company.
? Abreast of latest financial accounting and regulatory requirements and anticipative of impacts to the Bank
? Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organization. Able to influence without authority
? Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management in the language of business
