Mission of Function

The Siemens Ltd., China Risk and Internal Control (RC-CN RIC) Team supports the China CEO and CFO in their responsibility to implement and maintain an effective Risk Management and Internal Control system.

The Siemens Internal Control System is structured into finance related and non-finance related Control Requirements (CRs), which get tested via the RIC process by Assessors (IAs) every year to ensure the integrity of the internal controls for the governance owner (CRC).

The area of responsibilities comprise of coordinating, supporting and monitoring the implementation of internal controls at RC-CN also partially support other AREs in China.

Support the effective Risk and Internal Control process of RC-CN. Make sure the R/IC/ function is established in line with the CF A IC requirements;

Support the coordinating of control requirements as laid out in the Policy & Control Master Book (PCMB) (including organizing and monitoring R/IC/ assessment) at the topic assigned (mainly focus on IT general control, HR, treasure);

Ensure the CRs’ applicability analysis of entities in scope, as well as be the first level support to provide reference of the applicability of CRs for RC-CN (mainly focus on IT general control, HR, treasure);

Coordinate the outsource information of the CRs that the LC China is the service provider;

Support the R/IC/ trainings for CRCs and Independent Assessors of the entities in scope;

Support the deficiency identification process; Regularly monitoring of the remediation status in the R/IC/ Tool, including deficiencies definition and remediation at the entities in scope;Especially the non- assessment driven deficiency identification;

Conduct the R/IC/ validation check review for assigned topic

Conduct data maintenance in the R/IC/ Tool and be the expert for the R/IC/ Tool to guide the RICCOs and provide first level support to all users in the LC China;
