Mission & Main Tasks
?Senior Legal Specialist is responsible for monitoring Chinese policy and legislation related to automotive industry,and providing legal insight for Genesis business in China
?Also responsible for ensuring compliance with China's laws/regulations and conducting analysis to keep updated of the latest laws, regulations and legal practices
?Responsible for fully understanding legal issues and contracts associated with the business operations and reviewing/analyzing the legal issues to support the decision-making process of Genesis China"

Roles & Responsibility
?Proactively protect budgets and business plans of Genesis China from legal, compliance, financial, operational and commercial risks arising from disputes, litigation, contractual/legal liabilities and legal compliance risks
?Manage relationship with legal vendors/agencies and serve as a primary contact; handle inquiries, concerns and issues associated with laws and regulations
?Minimize legal risks through complete analysis of legal documents including contracts, agreements, memoranda,letters, and other documents related to the business operation
?Review various types of contracts and track its status and timeliness; facilitate document signing and finalization
?Cope with disputes and legal proceedings related to intellectual properties such as patent, trademark, copyright, and other business related matters
?Deal with issues arising from labor management, expenses and contracts while maintaining communication with HQ on status and process
?Provide legal services to business units and advice on operational matter to ensure compliance with China's laws and regulations
?Conduct required research to keep updated of the latest laws, regulations and legal practices
?Perform other occasional tasks/duties related to the job"

Background - Education / Working Experience
?Bachelor's degree or above in laws (PRC Bar Certificate is required)
?Total 5~8 years of working experience in law practice or compliance
?At least 3 years of experience in a Chinese law firm"

Professional Skills - Knowledge & Skills & Others (Certification etc.)
?Ability to represent compliance and ethics both internally and externally
?Strong understanding of legal procedures, concepts, terminology and principles
?In-depth knowledge in Chinses law, policy, and regulation
?Ability to review and analyze legal documents, reports and data
?Ability to reason and analyze the situation with accuracy and keen judgment for developing effective course of action"

Language Skills
?Native Chinese and Fluent English
?Proficiency in Korean is desired but not required "
