Position Overview

TheInternational Frame Product and Sourcing Designer will lead frame and mirrorstrategy, design and sourcing needs tosupport product development by leading the companies frame offerings and identifyingthe right partners with the objective to obtaining the most advantageouscombination of style, price, quality, and delivery to meet our customer needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual must possess the ability to developand execute a creative strategy for new product lines for the framing and mirror décorindustry.

The position will leadthe quote process developing the right design to meet customer needs, identifythe right international sources to manufacture product to specification, quotethe product and ensure reliable partners sourced meet customerexpectations. In addition, this positionwill develop the standard frame style offerings and support all new customquote designs.

Requirescommunication of concept through sketching, creating theme boards, developingconstruction details and executing technical drawings, and working withoverseas factories to successfully develop and execute the product.

Must possess an ability to understand current framefashion and consumer buying trendsand how to translate thatinto successful product solutions. Ideal candidates must be able to takedirection, yet think, and be motivated to work independently. Candidate must bedetail oriented, able to adhere to tight deadlines and manage changingpriorities.

Requirements:

• Minimum requirement of Bachelor's Degree. Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design or Graphic Design with experience in consumer product industry or equivalent design expertise.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Product Design/Development.
• Sketching skills required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD Design software a plus but not necessary.
• Foundation in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, bills-of-materials and standard operating instructions
• Strong English and Mandarin written and oral communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills required to be a liaison between engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, vendors, and customers supporting company goals and objectives.
