职位描述

JOB PURPOSE:

Be in charge of the financial control, reporting, planning and analysis of SP R&D.

· Monitor reliability, compliance and accuracy of internal management reports for R&D HQ and local management team, to ensure the information is produced on a timely and accurate basis;

· Setting up/monitor the controlling process in order to create and guarantee safe conditions of operations as needed for investments done by shareholders;

· Prepare the R&D budget and daily control/analysis, contribute to management for decisions in terms of department budget control analysis;

· Improve the budget tools and contribute to relevant projects;

· Support the internal audit and external audit work, e.g. GPS, SOX and annual audit..

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operational activities: 60%

Review R&D budget request in collaboration with the R&D teams; build study cost forecast and estimate cost impact of events impacting the study; anticipate variation of study cost compared to the forecast and communicate them to stakeholders; collaborate with study team to make sure that study timelines, associated workload and costs are aligned;

Monitor R&D & Medical budget request in collaboration with the global R&D & Medical teams;

Manage forecast exercises (budget, forecasts and Long Range Plan) for R&D & Medical;

Prepare R&D & Medical related reporting and analysis under IFRS each month end; ensure the submission to HQ in a timely and accurate manner;

Perform comprehensive R&D & Medical OPEX tracking; provide valuable analysis and advise to R&D & Medical and management team;

Collaborate with global R&D & Medical controller to make sure R&D & Medical activities and costs are aligned;

Coordinate with Accounting team and R&D & Medical functions closely to meet the deadline for consolidation report, budget and other management report;

Buildup and maintain financial report structure by defining relevant information to be included, developing relevant activity indicators and ratios, adapting reporting to make it accessible and useful to stakeholders, so that to provide strong support on management control and decision-making;

Support on internal control process implementations, e.g. GPS, SOX etc.;

Support and work with internal and external audits to ensure the proper preparation and timely completion;

Support line manager to hit all other targets to meet finance team’s subjective and business needs.

Strategic and managerial activities: 40%

Manage overall finance analysis over R&D & Medical activities to ensure alignment with business strategy, contribute to decision making;

Contribute to and coordinate overall forecasting and budgeting activities of R&D & Medical in a timely and accurate manner;

Continuously contribute to R&D & Medical costs optimization;

Monitor finance related processes and identify the optimization/simplification opportunities, continuously improving processes in place;

Support on internal control of R&D & Medical to ensure all activities align with GPS, SOX, and compliance requirements;

Act as finance BP to R&D & Medical by supporting on finance related topics;

Support SP R&D & Medical business expansion strategy in China.

CONTEXT OF THE JOB/MAJOR CHALLENGES

Closely cooperate with business partner, provide value-added insight based on sound understanding of SP business;

Can work under pressures to achieve high-quality deliverables within the timeline;

Possesses excellent communication skill to ensure a good collaboration with key stakeholders both in local and HQ;

Act for changes resulting from the fast changing and complex environment of local financial regulations, group policies and other complex situations;

Have a strategic and business thinking way and open mindset.

DIMENSIONS/SCOPE

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

College degree or above in Finance or related field.

Experience & knowledge:

· At least 5 years working experience in financial analysis positions in foreign enterprises, pharmaceutical experience is preferred;

· Professional accounting and finance knowledge, familiar with China GAAP and IFRS GAAP, finance, tax policies and practices;

· Knowledge in international clinical study conduct is a plus

· CPA, ACCA, CMA or similar certification are a plus.
