Risk

Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, operational, credit, pension, insurance, compliance, regulatory, market, reputation and geopolitical risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

-Provide day to day support according to branch Compliance service models, in particular of Compliance advisory work, to ensure consistency with Group policies, HSBC China risk appetites as well as local regulatory requirements.

-Support new business/regulatory initiative launches on project basis (such as pilot run of RMB internationalization or Free Trade Zone deals) by facilitate Compliance services according to local regulations.

-Maintain records for regulatory development and monitor the trend of regulatory changes as well as implementation by stake holders of SHH.

-Coordinate external engagement events such as inspections, self-assessment, investigations, surveys and ad hoc regulatory enquiries relating to SHH/SFTZ businesses in particular.

-Support Compliance Risk Assessment and implementation of Annual Compliance Plan.

-Facilitate compliance up-skilling programs of partners to develop knowledge and capability to fulfill compliance risk management roles and responsibilities in sustainable way and meeting high standards of HSBC.

-Support CMP Eastern Region and FTZ risk management work on assigned basis.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
-University degree or above in law, accounting or any related discipline
-Minimum 4 years' relevant experiences in banking / financial industry, preferably gained in compliance area
-Knowledge of the rules and regulations from CBRC, PBOC and SAFE, Shanghai experience would be a plus
-Familiar with banking operations and controls as well as different products and services offered by the bank
-Self-motivated, independent with good analytical abilities and judgment, willing to work in diversified working environments & locations, reasonable mobility
-Mature interpersonal and communication skills to work with internal and external parties
-Good project management skills, fluent Chinese/English writing for both regulatory and management reports
