Job Duties:

- To assist LMU SVP to ensure sound asset quality and a conservative, constructive and competitive credit culture to facilitate HBCN’s strategy for growth by recommending credit proposals in a prudent and timely manner.

- To monitor, maintain and improve asset quality and strengthen HBCN’s lending position by conducting joint visits with business executives in the identification of potential problem accounts and minimize against B&D provisions.

- To follow up execution of the agreed account strategies and closely track progress, milestones and so on.

- To maintain an effective working relationship with the Customer Group’s lending executives, APH Risk and other Asia Pacific Risk units

- To undertake special projects on credit related matters and maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group policies and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.

- To proactively management his/her portfolio including conducting factory/operation inspection. (e.g. manage some of the B&D accounts and provide valid advice for marginal accounts with credit concern)

Job Requirements:

- At least 5 years banking experience with at least 4 years in as relationship manager role or credit risk manger role

- Bachelor degree (recognized by the state) preferably in the areas of Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law or related discipline

- Excellent logical thinking and analytical skills

- Familiar with the Group’s internal credit systems and procedures as well as credit values and culture

- Good interpersonal skill

- Able to prioritize workload and constantly work under pressure with good planning and co-ordination skills

- Competent written and spoken English language skills, apart from proficiency in Chinese
