Finance (FIN)

Global Finance aims to provide HSBC with a professional, effective and responsive finance service that operates at optimal cost and employs a common and transparent global model.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

This role serves as the dedicated Business Finance for CMB, by providing valuable financial advisories, including performance planning, tracking, analysis, forecast, cost tracking and database management etc. Typical tasks are following:
1.Deliver AOP on time, with high quality, clear assumptions and business justifications and with approvals from all stakeholders; 
2. Monitor progress against plan, analyse exceptions and trends and report on a regular basis to the business management
3. Deliver the monthly/quarterly strategic outlooks with reasonable accuracy and suggest meaningful follow-up actions to management.
4. Conduct CMB Performance Tracking and Margin Analysis to discover the potential opportunities and threats to CMB business;
5. Manage the issues related direct / indirect cost both received from other functions and allocated to CMB to ensure all costs are justified
6. Responsible for day to day customer database maintenance and enhancement for MI data support.
7. Handle queries from front line and proactively work with them to improve sales effectiveness through use of sales management tools and communications.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Over 5 years of experience in banking industries is preferred.
2. Good understanding of the financial services industry globally, CMB products, key trends and market knowledge;
3. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, financial services and the analysis and reporting of financial data is required. Accounting qualifications, like CICPA, ACCA, etc., will be a plus.
4. Ability to build relationships and network at all levels. Needs to be adept and comfortable at working across and outside functional boundaries in an influential and leadership manner;
5. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Professional in advanced statistic tools, i.e. SAS, SQL etc is a plus.
