Report to: Vice President, Hainan Operations
Summary:

This is a key management position who will be in charge of financial and operations management of the Hainan operations. The scope of responsibilities will include management of P&L, supervision of the financial reporting and business analysis, development and implementation of the risk management practices as well as management of the inventory control.

Main Responsibilities:

Budgeting, Forecasting and Strategic plan

- Lead analysis of the monthly financials to identify trends and develop action plans;

- Coordinate monthly financial close with the Corporate finance team;

- Lead local regulatory reporting;

- Liaise between the Hainan location and Division and Corporate finance management in preparing relevant data for budgets, forecasts and strategic plans.

Efficiency and Productivity

- Maintain and review with the management team key performance indicators to develop action plans on optimizing efficiency and productivity, provide appropriate recommendations to the local operations team;

- Monitor and manage key operating expense, including Payroll, supply cost, shop expenses, rent and make appropriate recommendations to the local and Division management;

- Lead the location in developing and implementing new systems and processes for improving efficiency and productivity.

Risk management and Inventory Control

- Ensure implementation of corporate and internal Audit procedures;

- Oversee Inventory control process to ensure integrity of inventory data in systems and adequate management of aged inventory;

- Lead all internal and external audits;

- Lead external party relationships that are engaged in business activities;

- Assist VP Operations in evaluating and developing business opportunities, preparation of business plans and risk/benefit analysis.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business management/Business Administration;

- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Financial management, forecasting and analysis;

- Inventory management experience is preferred;

- Experience of working in retail or service related industry is preferred;

- Fluent in Mandarin and English (both written and oral);

- Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized with strong attention to detail; solution based, energetic, team oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently;

- Strong computer skills required - Excel, Word and Power Point; knowledge of SAP is preferred.

Hainan DFS Retail Company Limited is the subsidiary of DFS Hong Kong Limited, a wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE) registered in Haikou city, Hainan province. In 2005, DFS signed off a contact with Hainan Meilan International Airport (HMIA) for operating and managing all the retail facilities in the existing and new extension domestic passenger terminal. We took over six grocery shops from HMA as of March 15, 2005 and renovated the stores one by one. Now we have three different types of stores in the airport, i.e. grocery, luxury and lease shops.
