Brief Description

The Supplier Quality Engineer will lead efforts in exploring, initiating, developing, and validating opportunities in quality improvements with the supply base supporting the manufacturing Site.？ The individual in this role will act as the technical interface between suppliers and design/manufacturing engineers to qualify new components for NPD programs (especially for the Electronics commodity), to improve performance, audit for compliance. Employee also needs to identify trends, manage projects & influence teams to drive smooth execution and closure of PPAPs. Also, he/she is to conduct supplier assessment and closure of all findings. Lead cross functional team and supply base to contain and prevent quality excursions？？？

Detailed Description？

1.To lead NPD/NBO programs with component qualification until PPAP approval, keeping in check to meet deadlines.

2.Also, to support BCS programs in qualifying new resources (suppliers/technologies) that will tie-up to NPD new launches.

3.Develop proactive Action Plans to improve supplier’s processes, quality, cost and flow of supplied materials throughout

？？ the entire supply chain.

4.Conduct supplier system and process audits in compliance with GQSM

5.Communicate supplier performance metrics and organize review meetings with suppliers.

6.Interact with NPD/NBO and BCS teams to ensure suppliers are involved in development and review of specifications to promote

？？ design for manufacturability.

7.Support NPD/NBO and BCS teams and manage sample submissions, conduct supplier audits and PPAP reviews as applicable.

8.Use project management skills and tools to support alternate component technologies for reduced cost or improved

？？ quality and reliability and implements changes. (Adherence to Change Management Procedures/AGILE).

9.Develop SQIP programs with suppliers to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost,

？？ delivery and technology.

10.Develop Technical Knowledge on Commodity assigned.

Job Requirement

1.Required: Bachelor's, Electrical Engineering/Physics and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experienced

2. Preferred: Master's, Electrical Engineering/Physics and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

3.？Minimum of 7 years of working experience required

4.？5+ yrs experience in semiconductor industry,

5.？3+ yrs in quality - SQE or CQE experience is preferred

6. Six Sigma training/certification

7. CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQM (Certified Quality Manager)

8. Experience with quality tools including but not limited to Design for Manufacturability, Error Proofing,

？？？？ GD&T, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, CpCpk, control plan, and 8D.

9.？？？Familiarity and practice with lean manufacturing and value stream mapping

10.？Established statistical modeling capabilities

11.？Excellent collaboration & project management skills

12.？Excellent verbal and written communications skills

13. Travel – can be up to 25% depending on demands

14. Language – Fluent in English

15. Computer Skills – proficient in MS Office, Statistical s/w such as Minitab

16. Must be results-oriented and have a bias for action

17. Must be a team player and able to build strong relationships internally and externally

18. Must have strong emotional intelligence and work through challenging assignments

19. Must be organized and metric driven

20. Demonstrable understanding of Six Sigma or Lean or similar

21. Possess analytical and technical skills required.
