2.Information of the assignment
Position: Optical Engineer
Location: Kunshan
Report to: Section manager (Optic)
Responsibilities:
Support RD and AE engineers based on optical simulations and design studies
Process optical simulation as ray tracing with respect to customer or general specifications
Setup specifications and define parameters for the optical parts and systems
Define and investigate the material selection
Support prototyping and rapid prototyping on all parts
Initiate relevant testing connected to the optical design
Provide documents and training about design related topics to internal staff
Manage customer related trainings
Setup application notes for customer communication
To coach and guide the optic designer to achieve higher level from technical side

Education: Bachelor degree in physics or optical engineering

Language: Fluent written and verbal English skills

Professional experience:
Minimum 3 years in R&D or optical design related departments, preferred automotive related development centers
Professional in optical design tools like Lucidshape, Catia or Solidworks; ASAP, lighttool or Zemax
Professional in related fields like automotive signal and forward lighting design, optical application design, LED application for automotive or general purpose"
Experience in photometry and lighting testing procedures
Experience in prototyping based on optical products
Understanding of test requirements related to mechanical design, preferred automotive testing background"
