Job Responsibility:

1. Hold responsibility for all procurement related tasks in product portfolio and/or customer sales projects. Target is to optimize total cost, material efficiency and quality through an early involvement of the Procurement organization and 3rd party suppliers. Key levers are the utilization of standard materials, the pooling of demand on Recommended Suppliers and Strategic Partners, cost transparency, the application of advanced negotiation concepts and the supplier integration.

2. Target Cost Achievement, Target Cost Improvement (TCI), Contribution to Net Income (CNI), Additional Contribution to EVA (ACE), Material Lead Time Target, Project Schedule Target (shared), Standardization Targets (reduction of material variants), RSL Coverage Rate, implementation and usage of new tools/ methods (eg CAO);Project related sourcing volume PVO, project category, number of projects, number of interfaces

3. Management and functions of BU and Corporate Procurement / functions within Product Introduction Team (PIT), Customer Interaction Team (CIT) / MPM organization / Support functions (HR, IT, Legal)

4. Suppliers, Strategic Partners / public authorities / lighting, material, supply chain and procurement specific organizations / partners (e.g. competitors, customers, consultants, institutes, universities, etc.)

5. Manage procurement, sourcing and supplier-focused activities in accordance with procurement strategies and regulations within product portfolio and/or customer sales projects in order to reach project targets.

6. Initiate and support market and technology scouting or benchmarking activities to realize solutions on sourcing demand along functional & x-functional requirements, product portfolio and/or customer sales project needs.

7. Provide ideas and information from supplier base related to product improvements, new product/solution ideas, and competitor and industry trends. Facilitate those into the organization to relevant (x-functional) stakeholders and drive implementation.

8. Perform target cost, cost structure and value analysis on material level and/ or value add items as defined for the individual product portfolio and/or customer sales project.

9. Support sourcing decision through qualified recommendation the basis of jointly defined supplier and TCO criteria in timely and close alignment with the Commodity Business Management organization and respect to defined processes and guidelines to secure the best material cost performance.

10. Drive the implementation of Procurement Strategies along with material and/or supplier selection activities in product portfolio and/or customer sales projects. Ensure a feedback of technological project demand and/or market trends into the Commodity Business Strategy (CBS) of the Category Procurement organization. Drive early involvement of suppliers into the development process

11. Prepare and perform RFI / RFQ with suppliers. Analyze the receiving data on product portfolio and/or customer sales project level and also considering the overall sourcing demand for the material. Use local Procurement resources/ Shared Services where appropriate.

Requirement:

1. Technology / material fields, e.g. Luminaires (finished products) electronics, mechanics, optics, thermal/ chemical

2. Sourcing /scouting, R&D or Marketing

3. Analyst’s expertise of relevant lighting associations beneficial

4. Product and application knowledge including markets, sourcing, manufacturing, cost structure

5. Experience in more than one function Procurement, Supply Chain, Development, Product Business/ Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing, Project Management, Cost Management

6. University Degree Technical and/ or Commercial

7. Cultural sensitivity & strong networker

8. Cross-functional projects

9. Wide external network (competitors, suppliers, associations)
