Position Description:
This position is to set up and implement the China sales plan. The Sales Manager will focus on developing an annual sales plan with quarterly implementation and review, working cross-functional with Marketing and service support teams to achieve the sales target. The manager will lead and coach the sales team members to ensure the success of overall business and every sales region in China.
Responsibilities:
?Lead the sales team to achieve the China sales target.
?Demonstrated ability to meet overall sales goals.
? Set up annual sales quota for the sales team and every sales members.
? Coach sales members to generate and qualify sales leads to expand sales opportunities.
? Review Sales forecast with sales team member weekly to ensure the sales progress in the right direction.
? Coach sales members to close profitable business to meet or exceed sales goals and objectives through either direct or indirect channels.
? Maintain relationships with key customers to promote penetration, retention and loyalty.
? Work with Sales, Marketing and Product Development to identify and mitigate competitive barriers to help sales team members to increase sales.
? Work with purchasing departments and develop strategies to mitigate sales barriers.
? Submit consolidated China weekly forecast reports
? Conduct performance review for sales team members.
Requirements
? Knowledge and skills typically acquired through the acquisition of a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or closely related science is a must. Completion of graduate level courses in Science &/or Business is desirable.
? Experience selling into large pharma, and academic research and hospital markets.
? Minimum of ten years field sales/sales management experience in capital equipment or project (>200K/each)
? Five-year sales management experience of capital equipment or project in life science market.
? Knowledge of the Gene Expression, Functional Genomics or Cytogenetics is highly desired.
? Excellent communication and negotiation skills, good English skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking
? Experience working with American or other multi-national companies.
? Ability to influence/educate others in order to gain acceptance/approval of innovative concepts/products is a requisite.
? Ability to implement strategic and tactical plans both independently and with a team.
? Demonstrate organizational, prioritization and planning skills required for successful account management, territory management, and project management.
? Ability to travel as necessary within territory.
