Position Summary – Purpose and Objectives of the Role
The job incumbent is responsible for
– lead and develop joint business plan for a selected group of key accounts with BUs
– responsible for assigned key account’s contract negotiation
– responsible for assigned key account’s P&L
– develop key account activities and evaluate its effectiveness
– responsible for short and long term key account strategy
– develop distinct advantage for Essilor Group over the competition and be the no. 1 preferred partner of the assigned key account
– Increase scope of penetration and share if wallet within each assigned key account
– responsible for tracking the competitive activity and proactively address the competitive threats through appropriate strategic initiatives and activities
– inject the professional key account management mindset and skills to BUs and upgrade the BU’s key account capability via training, recruiting strong talent, joint planning and evaluation
– develop deployment plan to drive the key account HQs’ alignment to its individual store execution
– drive key category development with key accounts
The key mission of this role is to achieve stronger client relationship and jointly grow the category together with assigned key accounts, in order to improve Essilor Group positioning within each assigned key account and increase the overall sales revenue. This position brings a great opportunity to play a key role in enabling Essilor’s rapid growth in Greater China and to create synergy among BUs, which leads to more efficiency.
Location: Shanghai, China and with travel requirements within Greater China
Key Responsibilities / Terms of Reference – Key Activities & Deliverable
? The initial responsibility of this role is to define which key account should be managed at Essilor group Level. Identify resources need with strong rationale
? Develop the professional key account capability under ECM and BUs
? Lead and plan strategic key account business development plan
? Lead and align KA plan and contract with BUs, jointly negotiate contract with BUs
? Lead annual business plan and review, forecast and budgeting of KA
? Drive national campaigns and category building events, be responsible for KA budget and its allocation, to conduct data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the campaigns
? Provide training and guidelines, to BU’s KA teams
? Monitor strategy execution across KA teams in the BUs, to ensure the execution is as the agreed and the best practices are being shared

Knowledge / Experience
Experience / Track Record
? Minimum 10 years of work experience, with proven record of high performance in national KA management
? A successful career progression in sales and KA management
? Experience in retail business and/or hospitals
? Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting analysis results and drawing conclusions and transform to executions
? Excellent project management skills, well organized and comfortable managing conflicting demands
? Demonstrated ability to lead and work with both multinational companies and local companies to deliver successful outcomes
Geographical Experience
? China market experience
Qualifications
Education / Qualification / Certification
? Strong academic background, Bachelor’s degree required and MBA (or other advanced degree preferred)
Language
? Chinese and English
