GENERAL MISSION
The Merchandiser is responsible for managing offers and handling orders follow-up for a group of suppliers. Depending on his level of expertise he might as well work on sourcing new opportunities (suppliers / products). He promotes Auchan’s Values and Ethic Rules.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
-Monitors samples developement and quotation sending on the right formats within imparted deadlines.
-Helps organizing buying trips and supports buyers during their meeting with suppliers.
-Follows-up the orders from selection confirmation till delivery, anticipating and solving issues within imparted deadlines.
-Organizes shipments with logistics teams to ensure on time delivery to countries, checks the accuracy of supplier’s export documents (China only).
-ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (A-Z MERCHANDISER)
-Keeps a constant watch on his area potential and opportunities. She/He identifies the right sourcing answers to buyers’ needs.
-Monitors and develops his suppliers basis

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Knowledge:
-Knowledge of international trade
-Knowledge of computer tools
-Fluent English both in spoken & written
-Open-minded - Rigorous - Organization and planning ability - Passion for the product - Self-confidence - Humility -Polyvalence -
-Ability to work under pressure
-Follows, applies - Gathers the information - Adapts oneself – Communicates - Cooperates, works in a team.
-Production process, Cost breakdown, Negotiation , Communication , fluent in English (spoken / written), good command in Microsoft Office.
