Summary
The Senior Engineering Project Manager is initially responsible for management & successful delivery of IFF’s Flavors Greenfield Manufacturing site project (ZhangJiaGang, Jiangsu) and IFF’s Shanghai Creative Centre facility relocation project. Incumbent will lead an in-house engineering team and external third parties, being the first point of contact for regional and global stakeholders.
Upon completion of these projects, the intent is for incumbent to move into a China engineering management role, with responsibility over the capital project portfolio of the respective geographical area.
Incumbent reports to VP Engineering, located in Europe or USA.
 
Key Responsibility
? Successful delivery of both capital projects to the Owner meeting agreed budget, timeline, quality, scope and meeting Owner expectations.
? Providing active leadership of an in-house engineering team reporting to incumbent and where needed hands-on direct involvement into project details
? Counterpart of the project Owner and supporting the Owner in timely & successful occupancy of the new facilities
? Implementing and adherence to excellent project management & control processes, and training others as & when necessary.
? Construction safety and regulatory compliance during project execution
? Communication and reporting to other IFF stakeholders at local, regional and global level.
? Developing the in-house engineering team members
 
Essential
? Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering
? Strong process knowledge and process analysis
? Good systems user
? Good financial understanding
? Service mentality
? Food Safety and Hygiene knowledge
? Comfortable with concept of accountability
Essential
? 7 – 10 years of supervisory and engineering / maintenance management experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment
