Position Summary:
The TWS analyst will be part of a global team responsible for the technical support and development of the Job Scheduling (a.k.a TWS) Technology and service..
As part of a global team will work with other global technical associates, contractors, vendors and off-shore team supporting day to day activities.This includes adherence to the Change, Incident & Problem management processes, to evaluate Job Scheduling opportunities and help Mars business applications and infrastructure work smarter. The primary focus will be on support issues during the time zone which their home hub site covers (GUA-NA, STU-EU, ISC-AP), with potential for handover of critical issues from/to adjacent regions. The secondary focus is on projects and project involving Job Scheduling environment.
Key Responsibilities:
? Support Job scheduling Team Lead on managing offshore team, acting as the TWS representative for Mars IS in their home hub region.
? Participate in Critical Incident Management process, joining crisis meetings, resolving problems in collaboration with the Mars IS Application teams and Technology teams acting as the TWS representative for Mars IS in their home hub region.
? Work and contribute in a global team; ensuring standards with global support practices, technical procedures and documentation
? Work proactively with other teams (other 3rd tier; application support teams) to define and implement job scheduling and support solutions to increase availability of systems
? Participate in resolving problems in collaboration with the Mars IS Application teams and Technology teams (such as server, backup, network, ...) as well as their deployment planning
? Maintain the team knowledge (processes and related documentation) for the technical landscape is kept up-to-date, including the Associate knowledge as well as all knowledge databases (e.g. wikispace, TWS website and Lotus Notes database)
? Support team on architecture reviews with specific vendor experts (IBM, Segus, etc)
Relevant Experience/Skill:
? Understanding of Job Scheduling / Monitoring processes and various elements that make up the environment. Minimum 2 years Admin experience of Tivoli Workload Scheduler will be highly regarded.
? Familiarity with various technical OS platforms(UNIX/Linux/Win, networks and databases (e.g. Oracle)
? Good technical problem solving skills and tenacity
? Good understanding of global IT support process and "Follow the SUN" support model.
? Ability to quickly learn new technologies
? Ability to operate across concurrent tasks & projects
? Ability to install and maintain infrastructure software, such as applying patches
? Project planning. Defining project steps, tasks, and assignments
? Desired but not compulsory: Web Admin(Segus), Shell Script, Websphere, SAP, Tivoli - ITM 5.1, Tivoli - TEC 3.x, TWS 8.5 Web console
Personal Attributes:
? Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently, with minimum direct supervision
? Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
? Demonstrate initiative, self-reliance and proactiveness
