Job description
The Global EA Operations Expert Centre Support team is division within Mars IS responsible for providing 24x7 expert level supports for infrastructure of hosting Manugistics (Apollo) and other Non-SAP applications, as well as application performance analysis for internal applications/infrastructures. The team is located in 3 Mars IS hub sites along with an offshore team located at India.

The job holder will be the single point of contact in AP region to deliver the support services for Non-SAP landscapes (mainly focus on Apollo and Application performance analysis)

Jobholder needs to work closely with other GIST, COE teams to design and implement global standards and assist in the development of strategy, policies, standards and procedures
Key Accountabilities
·         Technical management
o   Drive the resolution of issues, implement long-term solutions to minimize Incidents and maximize efficiency by collaborating with COE, Processing/Storage, DBEC/DBA and other GIST team, ensure PIR (RCA) is conducted for critical incidents and actions are being follow through
o   Provide preventive system maintenance, proactive monitoring, and tuning of systems with goal of streamlined processes, coordinating the global outage with related GIST/Coe teams, improved automation and application performance. Ensure appropriate backup/recovery and DR solutions are in place
o   Ensure Effective handover / transition of issues between different regions as Follow the Sun (FTS) support.
o   Driving the execution of CIP (Continue improvement project) for supported landscapes, working closely with GIST and Coe Development team on Apollo/other applications evolution and make sure operational issues and strategy are being addressed in the future technical roadmap
o   Responsible for application performance issue investigation and proactive performance analysis, new applications performance benchmarking by using Compuware Application Vantage and HP BAC tool

·         Knowledge Management
o   Maintain and update relevant documentation for landscapes she/he is responsible for (Wiki, SharePoint, Magic CMDB)
o   Participate with the GIST development and COE team to transfer of knowledge to MSD (Service Desk) in pushing down tickets from Tier 3 to Tier 2 to Tier 1.
·         Project / Change Management
o   To be key technical area contact point for AP region in Apollo area for Mars IS teams
o   Phasing, communication and planning of activities / progress for CIP and mainstream projects, driving and controlling project execution
o   Self (and contractors) workload management through the tools already in use (Magic Change and Work Orders).
·         Resource Management
o   Reporting / escalation of any bottleneck /delays /business impact.
o   Manage contractors daily deliverables
o   Plan capacity and manage application lifecycle for supported landscapes.
Technical experience
Technical background in the IT Operation or Development over 4 years plus timeframe, demonstrate strong technical experience with deep understanding on one or more IT technology areas.

Technically proficient in the following areas are mandatory

Support or development experience on one or more Manugistics (JDA) tools or other supplier chain management tools 1 year experience
Working level skill or experience on Linux
Working level skill or experience on Windows
Basic knowledge of Oracle Database management
Knowledge and experience of network principles (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, Firewall, Proxy ) 2 years experience

Technical experience in the following areas are prefer
Other business application support experience 2 Year experience
Actual experience with end to end application performance monitoring tools (like Application Ventage, HP BAC ) 1 Year experience
Shell/ Perl scripting
ITIL
Knowledge of virtual machine / cluster 1 Year experience
Personal skills

Challenges
The team of associates are located in 3 Mars IS hub sites along with a group of offshore contractors. Therefore, it will be necessary to hand-off to other regions as well as have a good understanding of other regions in order to provide effective support.

There may be times where weekend and/or nighttime problems must be worked on, the associate will be expected to be available. Communication between regions and with other team members will be very important.
