Key responsibilities：

Purpose
The purpose of Process Engineer is to:
? Work for continuous improvements to process delivery, quality and cost (man-hours Non Value added)
? Support quality improvements for current processes together with Production
? Participate in the problem solving process (1st line and 2nd line process problem analysis) , when expertise competence is needed.
? Responsible for Process Engineering targets (QCDISME) within time/technique/cost.
? Increase commonality and share best practices by working together within VCM.
? (Decrease manufacturing variability within the Process Engineering area.)
? Upon request, support core or commodity, when expertise competence is needed.
? Act as an interface between the Production department and Manufacturing Engineering.
Main Tasks
Process quality running production
? Initiate improvement proposals concerning process and routines, in order to raise the efficiency and quality level of the process
? Lead or participate in optimization projects of existing processes , using the DMAIC methodology / Participate in process related 2nd line problem analysis
? Organize process related Kaizen events, participate in Black Belt projects
? Manage internal improvement projects arising from Kaizen events, Black Belt projects, 6-Panels, …
Efficiency and productivity running production
? Create and maintain the line layouts.
? Transfer of PII’s from PII system (e.g. PPA/Team Center) to used balancing system.
? Preparation of balance sheets and workstation kinematics.
? Checking and performing SAM analysis (time studies).
? Keep balancing system up-to-date and process operator instructions.
? Elaborate and define ratio proposals of operator working load.
? Supports the process in reaching man-hour targets on running models according to decided frames and working procedures (ratio).
? Perform the necessary time studies on process improvements and changes (excluding time studies under the responsibility of Manufacturing Engineering).
? Quality assure WES/OIS and time studies (excluding time studies under the responsibility of Manufacturing Engineering).
? Improve production working methods and routines
? Improve production working places
? Improve efficiency of existing processes and equipment, using the Value Stream Map technique (Retrieval of information to analyze the process on a regular basis in function of OEE, IEE, equipment availability, product throughput times, frequent disturbances, quality loss …)
Product changes in running production
? Responsible for the necessary time studies for new or changed processes as a result of running product changes and make sure changes are implemented in the correct way (excl. time studies under responsibility of Manufacturing Engineering )
? ? Performing of product and process testing.
Process studies
? Execute and report long and short term process studies related to car volume changes, mix changes, in- and outsourcing, and changed OEE demands (Overall Equipment Efficiency)
? Provide Manufacturing Engineering ( Core, Commodity and Facilities, Tooling and Equipment ) with the requested running process information required to set the future processes.
? Perform the necessary time studies for new or planned changes on the processes (excluding time studies under the responsibility of Manufacturing Engineering )Qualification：
Responsibility
? Responsible to report deviations and start actions in order to eliminate them.
? Follow up and start actions on deviations on Process Engineering related targets (scorecard and master plan).
? Responsible for following of standard processes, methods, and tools within Industrial Engineering.
? Consider that we follow laws, agreements and routines when changes in process are implemented.
? Responsible for reporting to Manager for Industrial Engineering.
Competence Requirements /Profile
? Minimum level of competence is bachelor degree in mechanical engineering/industrial science or same level of experience.
? Practical experience from the production process preferable.
? Knowledge about the processes, methods, and tools at Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering
? Certified Green Belt or Black Belt is an advantage.
? English in spoken and written.
? Result oriented.
? Strong ability to co-operate.
