Job Duties

• Communicate with factories to assist UK team with order queries and order deadlines & problem solving
• Facilitate shipments with the factories and the forwarders when requested
• Order and track product samples with suppliers to ensure they arrive within the set timeframes
• Provide a communicative link between suppliers and our UK office when dealing with order queries and samplings
• Track the progress of all orders using a critical path
• Ensure all necessary documentations, product samples and requirements are submitted and completed within the set timeframe
• Assist and raise any factory product quality problems with Far East QA team
• Negotiate with the factory when necessary to improve lead times, prices and solve problems
• Track production of orders and ensure all customer requirements are achieved to UK standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Merchandising that involved working with overseas customers in UK
• Ideally experienced in a variety of retail product areas, such as: Ladieswear, Soft lines, Textiles or Garments
• Good command of written and spoken language in English and Mandarin/Cantonese
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Good time management skills, well organized and able to prioritize workloads to meet tight deadlines
• Computer literate (Word, Excel & Outlook)
• Able to work as part of a team whilst also showing own initiatives
