- Job Overview:Design and test of high speed (i.e. 1-10Gbps) multilayer circuit boards for optical transceivers and subsystems

Roles and Responsibilities: (Including major work content)

- Development of hardware specifications and test plans

- Hardware design from initial concept into production

- Schematic capture, component selection, and bill of material

- Circuit board design, layout, and test

- Signal integrity analysis

- Oversee PCB fabrication and assembly

- Development and execution of PCB diagnostics and bring-up

- Hardware functional and electrical verification including signal integrity

- EMC and safety certification

- Production and field support

Job Qualifications:

- Embedded subsystem design knowledge

- Expertise and understanding of high speed, multilayer circuit boards design

- Expertise with board designs that include embedded processors, FPGAs, SERDES, TOSAs and ROSAs

- Familiarity with industry standard busses: I2C, SPI, RS232, MDIO

- Signal integrity experience

- Good knowledge of PCB fab and assembly processes

- Experience with optical transceivers and subsystems targeted at 10 Gbps

- Lab and debugging skills

- Communication and documentation skills

- 5+ years of recent experience in complex multilayer board designs

- 5+ years of experience in optical transceivers/subsystems

- BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred
