Senior Sourcing Manager
Based: GZ office Report To: Procurement Director – On sourcing and product development issues
Second in comment: GZ office manager – on daily operation and administrative issues Supervise: Kittrich Guangzhou sourcing team
Main Function: EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY LEAD THE SOURCING TEAM TO DEVELOP & SOURCE ALL INQUIRIES DIRECTED FROM HEADQUARTERS LEADING TO A SUCCESSFUL PURCHASE AND ON-TIME DELIVERY
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPOSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY
? Direct & supervise sourcing team personnel and review the performance of the sourcing team member
? Assist procurement director in the areas of sourcing, RFP process, project management, product development, and coordinating all related activities
? Train, guide & develop sourcing team to improve efficiency and effectiveness
? Prepare cost analysis with related market study
? Review cost analysis from sourcing team for clarity and accuracy
? Evaluate and analyze supplier proposals
? Review and negotiate purchasing contracts to minimize risks and maximize profits
? Maintain & provide updates & feedback to management on projects according to projects schedule
? Support and assist planning and project manager on production and delivery schedule
? Collaborate with R&D, product mangers, marketing, planning & quality control personnel
? Sample collection, preparation and evaluation
? Ensure all standards as defined by the Sourcing department are followed and enforced
? Always on a look for new product and materials for product development
? Participate in sourcing trip for tradeshows and factory evaluation, and all related follow up purposes
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
? Proficient in written and verbal communication in English & Mandarin Chinese.
? Clear understanding of the sourcing functions, logistics, import regulations, quality control, and regulatory compliance issues.
? Able to handle responsibility assigned accurately & efficiently in an organized manner
? Eager to learn and willing to share, taking part to create a winning team
? Thorough and meticulous with great attention to details
? Experienced in manufacturing process
? Excellent project management skills
? Proven negotiation skills
? Excellent relationship management and leadership skills
? Strong skill in use of Microsoft Office
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 10-year plus of strategic sourcing & project management experience.
Experience in overseas buying.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
?Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferable with focus in international business. MBA highly desirable.
TRAVEL Some travel required.
