A rapidly growing, innovative German packaging & fashion trims company are looking for a dynamic person to join their China Sourcing team. The role is based in their Guangzhou office and they will be expected to liaise with suppliers across China via online chat, email, fax and face-to-face meetings. In addition you will have to liaise with the account team in China and Sales managers in the USA and Europe. It would ideally suit a person who has 2-4 years specific experience in sourcing in a trading company and is now looking for more responsibility and an exciting position within an expanding company.

The role will involve:

· Managing existing supplier relationships, ensuring they adhere to our quality standards, managing orders in process and ensuring client deadlines are met.

· Visiting and meeting with factories to develop relationships, manage productions and conduct audits.

· Negotiation of pricing, raising purchase orders and submitting pricing to the Sales Team globally and being the liaison between the suppliers and the sales team.

· Complete quality control inspections and make recommendations for improvements in all processes surrounded the supply chain.

· Help source and evaluate new potential suppliers for both existing and new products, which will involve visiting the factories.

· Work with factories to make new products or improve technical processes therefore some technical knowledge is an advantage but not a necessity.

· Maintain good records and ensure all documents are correctly stored in our order processing system.

· Ideally be able to prepare technical drawings taking a clients idea or 2D artwork and converting to 3D.

Candidates will need very strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese to deal with suppliers in China and customers/staff overseas; show initiative and have creative problem solving skills to be able to quickly handle production problems; excellent time management skills and be able to multi-task (manage multiple problems at the same time); as well as excellent negotiation skills. Candidates must be extremely competent using in Microsoft Office, Email, the Internet and some skills using Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Coral Draw or other graphics packages would be an advantage.
