- To achieve the sales target.
- Demonstrated ability to meet overall sales goals.
- Review Sales forecast with Senior sales manager regularly to ensure the sales progress in the right direction.
- Maintain relationships with key customers to promote penetration, retention and loyalty.
- Work with Sales, Marketing and Product Development to identify and mitigate competitive barriers to help sales team members to increase sales.
- Work with purchasing departments and develop strategies to mitigate sales barriers.
Requirements
- Knowledge and skills typically acquired through the acquisition of a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or closely related science is a must. Completion of graduate level courses in Science &/or Business is desirable.
- Experience selling into large pharma, and academic research and hospital markets.
- Minimum of five years field sales/sales management experience in capital equipment or project
- Knowledge of the Gene Expression, Functional Genomics or Cytogenetics is highly desired.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, good English skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking
- Ability to influence/educate others in order to gain acceptance/approval of innovative concepts/products is a requisite.
- Ability to implement strategic and tactical plans both independently and with a team.
- Demonstrate organizational, prioritization and planning skills required for successful account management, territory management, and project management.
- Ability to travel as necessary within territory
