Full-time position providing IT services to subsidiary companies of diverse technology holding company, Halma p.l.c. (www.halma.com). Halma subsidiaries operate world-wide and make products for hazard detection and life protection, with market leading technologies in specialist electronic, safety and environmental applications.
The central IT team at Halma provides selective resources to our subsidiary companies. These include the following: VPN and firewalls, secure e-mail system, Internet-to-desk and web filtering, enterprise anti-virus software, remote user access configuration and administration, Intranet and E-learning systems. Additionally we consult on major infrastructure changes and investigate new technologies for use within the Group.


Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all Help Desk requests are handled in a professional and timely manner in accordance with established service levels.
2 Manage an escalation process for handling urgent and critical issues.
3 Personally assist employee's inquiries and requests as needed (through network or telephone)
4 Manage Help Desk resources for optimal performance. This will consist of resource management for incoming customer inquiries, projects, administrative work and time allotted for holidays and other time off.
5 Train and instruct employees when new products/services are released.
6 IT purchasing and assets management.
7 Regularly organize end user training
8 Support subsidiaries part-time IT if necessary.
9 Others works assigned by manger.



Qualifications
1 College or bachelor degree in IT related areas is preferred.
2 1+years experience working as a Help Desk professional or similar technical knowledge.
3 Good knowledge and experience with general computer administration, active directory and most used applications
4 Good knowledge in the areas of VLANs, DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, Microsoft Windows Server 2008
5 Good written English is required and Good spoken English would be an advantage.
6 Good phone etiquettes and customer service soft skills.
7 Initiative, hard working, self-motivated.
