Job Requirements
At least 10 years’ sourcing or purchasing assurance experience with minimum 3 years in managerial position with international company preferred.
Familiar with international quality standards and requirements of US and European countries such as UL, CE, CISIA, FDA, etc.
Good command of English and Putonghua/Mandarin both written and spoken.
Excellent communication skills and able to interact with suppliers, and USA merchandising teams.
Experience in any of these: apparel, accessory, gift, softgoods, and hardgoods classifications including gifts, home furnishings, furniture, lighting, home textiles, and decorative accessories.
Ability to travel to other provinces.
Ability to travel to other countries such as USA or other Asia countries.
Prefer a degree from a University.
Cooperate with office team in harmony.
Must have good eye sight and able to distinguish between slight changes in color.
Must have good hand eye coordination to pick up and inspect pieces.
Must be able to use MS Office such as Outlook email and Excel documents.
Candidates will have a strong record of leading and developing [training] sizable teams of supply chain professionals. Strong leadership and decision making skills coupled with great attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills is critical for this role.
Superior negotiation skills.
Job Accountabilities
Provide effective supervision of daily operation of Quality department, Finance department, IT, Design, Logistics, Sourcing and Purchasing departments.
Coordinate efforts between the China office, contract warehouses, 3PL services, suppliers, customers, and the company offices in the USA.
Control of expenses plan and organize resources for running the entire office.
Organize pre-production meeting to review product specifications.
Providing new product development assistance; sampling; order placement; on-site production tracking, quality control, social accountability, and human rights due diligence etc.
Work with factories to improve scores for CTPAT or customer inspections.
Evaluate new factories for capability, social compliance, CTPAT, on time shipping, quality assurance [proactive], quality control [inspect the product], and other key areas.
Ensure weekly reports are sent to company office in USA.
Support staff from the USA when they come to China.
Manage key supplier relationships.
Participates in vendor qualification, performance scoring, and rationalization. Participates in strategic sourcing.
