Accountability
The Material and Components Responsible is accountable to:
? Source suppliers
? Develop Material & Support Product Development
? Quote and follow up production
? Secure material and components quality in development and production

Source suppliers
? Source new suppliers and develop existing suppliers based on needs
? Introduce H&M Group requirements to the new supplier
? From Initial visit, Evaluate supplier capacity and capability according to H&M requirements and update suppliers information in system
? Supplier Relationship Management (Evaluate Suppliers performances and monitor their actions plan)

Develop Material & Support Product Development
? Develop new material and components in the right suppliers based on needs, including H&M trends
? Update material information in Castor.

Quote and follow up production
? Collect prices of raw materials, monitor competitor activities/ benchmark prices on materials – fabric/yarn/ trims as relevant to local market.
? Secure best deal of top material and component each season.
? Work with quotation merchandisers in negotiating and finalizing best deals with suppliers.
? Implement the global sustainable material strategy for the region
? Secure and follow up material booking

Secure material and components quality in development and production

? Make risk assessment on material and components
? Secure material and components quality following H&M requirements
? Use material and components Guideline to secure quality
? Implement solutions to secure bulk production


Education and Experience requirements
? Graduated Textile
? At least 5 years working experience in textile/footwear industry
? Expert in footwear components, PU/Leather/Fabric…
? Preferably experience in similar position in supplier or representative office
? Experience in sourcing/ supplier management

Knowledge and Skills requirements
? Component and Product knowledge
? Quality Conscious
? Risk assessment
? Testing knowhow
? Excellent written and spoken in English
? Strong attention to details
? Good negotiation skills
? Good communication and organizational skills
