Facilities Officer
Position Description:
The Facilities Officer coordinates all maintenance and repair work at the school with Linked and other outside contractors. The Facilities Officer carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: organizes and manages the work order system, seeks quotes from external contractors, participates in quarterly environment, safety, and health inspections, coordinates utility outages, provides quality feedback on work performed by internal and external contractors, responds to emergencies arranging urgent work, and verifies expenditures related to facilities-related work.
Reports to: Executive Assistant
Job Duties:
1. Represents the interests of the school to all internal contractors (Linked) or external contractors.
2. Coordinates construction, maintenance, and repair work on Academic buildings, Gymnasium, Aquatic Center, Art Center, Main Hall, Student Dormitories and Faculty’s apartments on campus.
3. Documents all work using a work order system recording the nature of the work, when the work must be completed, the point of contact, customer’s technical specifications, and any other information necessary to complete the work on time, on budget, and to a satisfactory standard.
4. Follows-up on all work to ensure work in completed on time, on budget, and the customer’s requirements.
5. Leads stakeholders (EHS Committee) in quarterly environment, safety, and health inspections of the campus. Completes documentation for EHS score.
6. Meets with internal customers to follow-up on work progress and seek feedback on completed work.
7. Coordinate work related to school events.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in any field appropriate to facilities management.
2. Excellent communication skills, including strong English skills
3. The ability to work with people of every kind – Chinese or Western
4. Two years experience in a related field of work.
