POSITION DESCRIPTION:

American Standard is looking for an experienced Project Manger to support the launch of new product development projects. He or she will focus on oversee the project schedule, solve issues and manage risks raised up in the development stage, report the project status to the higher management team. He or she will work closely with Sourcing Managers, Design Engineers, Quality Engineers and the cross-functional team for new component PPAP approval, pilot runs and production ramp up. He or she will need to be a highly motivated self-starter and team player, willing to working under the tight project schedule and pressure, good communication skills and strong ambitious of project success.


RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Create and monitor project schedule based on the input from US marketing team.
2. Coordinate with the Fitting Engineering Leader to obtain the quality and engineering resource to build the project team and responsible for the project team performance.
3. Create WBS and assign to team member.
4. Access the risks in the project and create the mitigation plan
5. Report project status to US Engineering and marketing team in a weekly basis.
6. Lead the pilot run for the complete faucet.
7. Solve the issues raise up in the development stage.
8. Commit the launch date to US team by using the Critical Path / PE-RT technology to analysis the project schedule.



QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Industry engineering required
2. A minimum of 5 year experience required in project management. Provable ability in leading project successfully.
3. A minimum of 2 years experience required in design/quality related field of consumer product, plumbing industry is preferred.
4. Proficient in project management tool set like WBS, Grant Chart, Critical Path analysis, PE-RT, Risk management etc.
5. Proficient in the MS Project software. PMP certification is preferred.
6. Strong problem solve skills and analysis ability.
7. Strong leadership and motivation skill.
8. Very good communication skills such as active listen, negotiation and conflict management.
9. Languages: English (speak fluently, read and write)
10. Must be able to travel up to 20%
