This position will be part of the APAC Global Business Finance team supporting the China Managing Director and his License and Hardware Sales org.

Detailed Description

As a member of Oracle’s finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

Job Requirements

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in Oracle Financials. Strong analysis and research skills. Ability to partner across functions. 10 plus years relevant work experience. BS/BA in Accounting/Finance preferred. CPA/MBA desired.

Additional Details

Responsibilities:
* Analyzes and reviews information from different sources and concludes on potential impact for the business as well as thinking of appropriate initiatives to limit risk.
* Participate in annual GTM/compensation planning and budget setting
* Actively involved in Forecast, pipeline, slipped/big deal reviews
* Drive month and quarter end close for specific LoB(s) and P&L management
* Handle ambiguous and challenging ad hoc requests and deliver high quality analysis to enable decision making
* Participate in and/or drive automation/process improvement projects
* Work closely with GFIC (Global Finance Information Center) in India to provide timely report and analysis to Management
* Collaborate with other functional teams such as HR, Global Controllers Group, Credit and Collections, RE&F, Internal Audit, Compliance, Tax, and Revrec on cross lob projects

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 12 years experience in Sales finance (Hi-tech industry preferred)
* Has ability to influence and participate in business decision making by senior business management (to at least EVP-1 level) through providing key financial information and decision support.
* Is able to balance control vs customer support. Is able to provide independent solutions to business problems, evaluating and concluding on appropriate action. Has ability to convince business partner of these solutions.
* Self starter and able to handle varied and complex tasks utilizing independent judgment
