Associate Software Engineering Manager, Development (Requisition ID: 00003NC1)

Job Duties:

The holder will work as Associate Software Engineering Manager (Development), working mainly on IT development of effective solutions with end-to-end accountability to a fast paced Fixed Income business team.

· Oversee project and development activities for Fixed Income delivery, provide leadership on both functional and technical aspect. Be hands-on whenever necessary.

· Liaise with relevant business areas, IT teams and other functions to ensure that delivery requirement and scope is captured and understood properly.

· Track and record progress and resolve any risks and issues, communicate effectively to business partners, global and regional functional lead.

· Contribute to the overall planning including resources, costs, timeline for deliverables.

· Work closely with global and functional team and support functions to ensure service is delivered to a consistently high standard

· Contribute to the execution of Fixed Income strategy, especially on Location Strategy.

· Develop employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise, in response to Fixed Income IT and business strategy.

· Manage staff development, assessment, training, motivation, discipline, recruitment and retention to assist the team in promoting the highest professional standards within the development environment

Candidate Specifications:

· A university graduate with degree in IT or a related discipline

· A minimum of six years’ of solid experience in Software Development Life Cycle, experience on interactive development methodology would be a plus.

· A minimum of three years’ IT management experience, skills in people management in staff development, performance management and coaching.

· Working experience in banking technology, knowledge on Global Markets products and their life cycle and. Fixed Income domain knowledge and experience in investment banking sector is preferred.

· Working experience and knowledge on Java, C++, C#, Shell Scripting, and any of the DBMS DB2, Oracle or Sybase

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high standard of written and verbal English

· Strong reasoning and analytical skills with a good level of attention to detail

· Highly organized mindset with the ability to work under pressure and operate in a multi-functional, matrix environment global environment with culture diversity

· Proficiency in resource planning and budget control, effective time management and prioritisation skill

· Well organized and rigorous, team player and highly motivated

· Flexible and able to change priorities quickly
