Role Summary/Purpose

The Integrated Avionics Systems Engineer will be responsible for participating in the full life cycle of design and development for integrated avionics systems solutions for commercial aircraft.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:
· Work as part of an integrated multi-company Avionics and Sub-System development team to define, develop, verify, and certify an integrated systems solution
· Contribute to the generation of the high level requirements for avionic systems
· Develop systems verification plan, verification matrix, test cases, test procedures, and verification report, etc.
· Develop and execute functional based robustness testing of integrated avionics systems
· Be responsible for cost, schedule, and status of integrated systems activities on assigned projects
· Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
· Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
· Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
· Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
· Minimum 3 years of technical experience in Avionics Systems design and development
· Minimum 1 year of experience in dealing with customers and suppliers on an engineering development program
· Fluent in English and Mandarin

Desired Characteristics

· Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
· Experience in avionics systems definition, design, integration, verification, and project scheduling
· Familiarity with the operational aspects of aircraft navigation and guidance systems
· Prior experience working as a member of an integrated engineering development team
· Experience in sub-system requirements definition for avionics such as flight management systems, on-board maintenance systems, integrated modular avionics computing platforms and cockpit voice & data recorder systems
· Experience using models to simulate and validate the system design and architecture
· Experience with ARINC 661 and ARINC 653 development standards
· Experience with DO-178B, DO-254, DO-297, and ARP-4754 certification standards
· Ability to engage and build positive relationships with customers and internal & external employees
· Solid oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
· PC proficiency
