Have the knowledge of our existing suppliers' capabilities /skills.
Develop the trends/new fabrics & products with best/suitable suppliers (based on capacity plan).
Keep every stage in the development process as short as possible.
Follow closely what competitors are working on.
SECURE H&M QUALITY REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS FOR POTENTIAL ORDERS
Have the knowledge of our existing supplier base. Their capabilities and status conc. COC, GPQ & their commercial strengths and weaknesses.
Educate and evaluate new garment & fabric suppliers (garment, fabric, printers &WEP units) in understanding H&M customer (trends & fashion), secure H&M quality standards.
Make all relevant tests on sample yardage & garment samples which are classified as potential orders for new qualities.
Continuously update fabric library
COOPERATION IN PO
The strategy for developments will be linked to the demand /dept. PMP is the tool at present.
Strategy of where to develop what will therefore be set together with PM Team.
The R&D team will cooperate closely with all our specialists in order to secure quality.
Secure co-ordination between sourcing team for new suppliers.
COOPERATION WITH SEBO-PO
Create a good dialogue with buyers, designers and pattern constructors in SEBO.
Customer focused. Know the concept /customer you work for very well.
Keep SEBO informed of development status.
COOPERATION WITH H&M SUPPLIERS (INCL. WEP UNITS, FABRIC & DYING MILLS)
Good knowledge of H&M suppliers' capabilities. Fashion sense, price, quality, capacity & lead-times.
Educate and evaluate new garment & fabric suppliers (garment, fabric, printers &WEP units) in understanding H&M customer (trends & fashion).
BACKGROUND
A) Education
Preferably a degree in fashion design/art
B) Work experience
Preferably experience working in a design team
