Electrical/Electronics Engineer – Automotive HIL/Labcar E/E Integration Engineer

The Hardware in the Loop (HiL) and labcar testing is expected to test and validate ECU , subsystem and system level functionality by using simulation models and real ECUs in the loop, test all electronics/electrical functionality for the system under test. This role is responsible for HIL/Labcar test environment setup and integration test and validation. Develop test specs and test cases according to customer requirements and specifications. Support E/E portion for HIL/Labcar/test bench test, validation and test automation. Responsible for test planning, management, coordination, and reporting.

Responsibilities:
-Setup and configure HIL/subsystem test bench and associated hardware/software tools (Controldesk, ECU-Test/Automation Desk, Ediabas, ESD, CANalyser, etc…)
-E/E components and/or subsystem integration and validation
-Responsible for E/E signals and vehicle signals test and debugging in HIL/Labcar/test benches
-Work together with project team to identify the potential E/E issues and investigate the root causes
-Develop test plan/procedure/test cases for system level, subsystem level or component level according to customer specifications
-Review test cases and Identify test cases for test automation
-Support test automation engineer for test execution and test automation scripts/program debugging
-Create test reports with ECU Test or Automation Desk. Test reports must be delivered in accordance with customer required format.
-Participate project team meetings and communicate the project status to the project team in an effective and efficient way
-Present all versions of test plans and associated files in addition to any supporting documentation accompanying the test plans.
-Set up and use the agreed method of transfer of information to nominated personnel.

General education background:
-Bachelor or above in the following areas:
a)Automotive Engineering
b)Electrical or Electronics Engineering
c)Computer Science
d)Information Technology
e)Or other related areas
-Automotive background is a plus

Professional experience:
-Knowledgeable CAN/Lin/MOST/FlexRay bus systems
-Already having working experience in component testing ( automotive experience is a plus)
-knowledge in power electronics (for example: electrical machines, HV batteries, power supply-DC/DC, AC/DC converters, OSFET)
-Experience in battery and energy storage technologies including Lithium Ion, Lithium Polymer, Nickel Metal Hydride, Lead Acid, Super Capacitors, Ultra Capacitors Vehicle diagnosis background
-Knowledge of automotive combustion/electrical engine control
-Knowledge of automotive power management
-Familiar with el. standard components (diodes, thermistors, etc..)
-Some programming skills would be a plus (JAVA or C/C++)
-knowledge of dSpace framework (Model Desk, Automation Desk, Control Desk and RTI) is a plus
-Experience in using Matlab/Simulink for system design, analysis and simulation is a plus
-Hands on experience in hardware design and some common EE equipment is preferred
-Familiar with Instrument Communication (GPIB, UART, IIC)
-Driver license with 2+ years practical driving experience is a plus
