Booking.com BV (the company behind Booking.com?, the market leading online hotel reservation service in the world) and/or its various support companies throughout the world are looking for people to support the business in the fast-growing hotel markets.
Booking.com Shanghai, one of the support companies in China, is looking for an AP Accountant in Shanghai.
In this role you report directly to the Controller in Shanghai and closely work with the AP team in Singapore. You will be based in Shanghai office.
Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organisation, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting process (expenses (declarations), fixed assets, accounts payable, payments and banks) for Booking.com APAC entities mainly focus on North Asia market;
Account reconciliation and participation in preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
Research and respond to accounting questions;
Proactive communication of potential issues to the Controller;
Co-ensure all procedures and controls within the Finance department are, and remain, SOX compliant and meet Internal audit requirements;
Working closely with the Accounting Team to ensure team objectives are met;

Requirements:
Preferably 2 years work experience in a similar position;
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level;
Experience with SAP ERP (FI/CO) preferable;
Accounting skills and financial background;
Excellent communication skills;
Team-player;
Fluent in English and Mandarin;
Fluent in Japanese is a plus;
MS Office skills: good working knowledge of Word and Excel;
Accurate and analytical;
Being able to work under stress and with deadlines.
