SUMMARY
The new store opening Project Manager will be responsible managing the implementation of all the technology in our retail stores soon to open in Shanghai. Create a one of a kind technology store environment that is innovative and industry leading: utilizing processes & partnerships that drive efficiencies in operating expense.
RELATED COMPETENCIES
Manages typical projects or a work stream, within a project or program with elevated levels of risk and complexity.
Uses proper escalation channels and provides timely, consistent, audience-appropriate communication.
Manages the schedule to incorporate internal and cross-team dependencies, assigns appropriate resources, creates logical work breakdown structures, identifies critical path elements, processes change requests, and measures progress against the plan.
Manages resources appropriately, and communicates any budget variance as soon as possible.
Builds trust and respect with people outside of his or her immediate team.
Understands business objectives and plans accordingly. Critically reviews multiple plans and adjusts as needed. Proactively communicates and addresses necessary trade-offs.
Understands assigned clients’ business processes, data, and strategy, in terms of measurable performance indicators, such as revenue, cost, and customer/partner experience (CPE), risk, compliance, time-to-market, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Understands the impact of the roadmap on his or her area of responsibility.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspect of project management
- At least 5 - 7 years of experience of Project Mgmt in the telecommunications industry
- Proven experience in strategic planning, risk mgmt., change mgmt., scope of work control
- Proven experience in people mgmt.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings sets to include; Architectural, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Low Voltage, A/V and Security
- Strong understanding for networking, server, PC and Telco
- Ability to present reports defining project progress to stakeholders
- Manages day-today operational aspects of a project and scope
- Minimizes MS exposure and risk on a project
- Creates and executes project work plans, revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Effectively applies PM methodology and enforces project standards
- Owns project scheduled details from start to finish
- Ability to manage and maintain project under stressful conditions.
- Holds regular status meetings with project team
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties
- Communicates effective with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
- Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
- Manage third party vendors and conducts effective performance evaluations
- Reviews the status report of team members and addresses issues as appropriate
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to Operations team. Ensures documentation is complete, current and stored appropriately
- Assist in PM documentation creation and update, manages all changes to playbook
- Manage third party vendors
