Responsibilities:
1. In collaboration with the US marketing team, the Product manager defines and implements the company’s sourcing strategy across his/her categories.
2. Identify, source and develop new vendors and products in the region.
3. This role directly supervise a team of product specialists/quality inspectors/supply chain planner across his/her categories.
4. Monitor day to day operation including supplier management, product development, quote sheets, sample verification, payment terms negotiation, on time shipment & quality assurance.
5. Manage the product cost negotiations with vendors and identify cost savings initiatives.
6. Evaluate vendor performance and optimize the vendor matrix.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree in a business, marketing or engineering.
2. At least 8 years + of experience in Product Management roles, previous experience in a buying office preferred
3. Experience in the office products industries is a must.
4. Strong factory base and knowledge of manufacturing.
5. Strong leadership skills, excels at leading a multifunctional team to deliver results.
6. Demonstrate the key competencies like independent, strong analytical mind, mature, tactful, good interpersonal. communications skills, good problem solving skills and good sense of priorities.
7. Fluent in spoken and written English & Mandarin.
8. Proficiency in MS Excel and Chinese Word Processing.
9. Willingness to travel and work in a global team set up.
10.Good track record on sourcing, price negotiation, ability to deliver the results.
11.Ability to relocate to Ningbo area is preferred.
