Ocean State Job Lot (www.oceanstatejoblot.com), a US based department store company, looking for Calibers (multiple Gift Products Merchandisers & Food Products Merchandisers) to join our Guangzhou Buying Office:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Proactively & closely interact with US buyers on a regular basis; thoroughly understand customer needs, industry trend, identifying potential business opportunities and values that we can deliver to marketplaces.

Interact with store buyers to maximize knowledge about US customers & market segments, products trend, consumer behavior, source good quality products at competitive price on behalf of buyers.

Analyze and & participant in developing specific Sourcing and Merchandising strategies, goals, and specific action plan, assure rapid-fire decision is made and be implemented accordingly for all sourcing projects.

Act as a liaison for global procurement activities oversee open projects and PO's launched on a daily basis, assure all be completed in a time manner and industry specs be addressed and met, maintain all data traceable on all reports.

Develop and maintain a well-structured vendor base to satisfy the current and future business needs, coach and train vendors to deliver constantly improved performances to our clients, measuring vendors' performances and establish core and backup vendors for all categories:

Requirements:
-Years of experiences for food and food related items procurement for US market, know FDA,SID and other related rules/compliance for US market, familiar with variety kinds of food good for US market(NOTES: FOOD PRODUCTS MERCHANDISERS ONLY)
- Motivated, self-starter
- Sense of responsibility and urgency, work under pressure, be able to manage multiple priorities and flexible to change priorities from time to time
- Strong inter-person, negotiation and vendor management skill , good analytical skills, familiar with retailer business, US chain store buying experiences are preferred
