Job Description
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Online (WDPRO) is an exciting and dynamic team that is responsible for creating the web presence for the entire spectrum of Walt Disney’s vacation and travel offerings.
The Sr. Systems Engineer works as part of a team responsible for planning and executing the integration of Internet based products and services for Parks & Resorts Online into a complex data center and network environment in an efficient, secure, scalable, reliable and cost effective manner.
Responsibilities
?Implementation and support for Internet based solutions developed for these business units.
?Any content delivery systems, hardware configuration, custom software implementation, database administration, network and systems design, performance and process improvement, and systems documentation.
?Planning and executing small-to-medium scale projects within the Technical Operations team. Typical projects would include new business unit initiatives and updates to existing products and services that require planning, incredible attention to detail, and flawless execution.
Basic Qualifications
?5 years of experience supporting and/or deploying internet-based products or services
?Intermediate to advance shell scripting skills
?Intermediate skills in Perl, Python or other programming languages
?Detailed knowledge of core internet and networking protocols including, but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP
?Exposure to configuration management frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, CFEngine
?Experience with CI pipeline workflow development using tools like Bamboo, Hudson (Jenkins)
?Experience with enterprise layer 7 load balancers including F5 or Netscaler
?Expertise in configuration and management of one or more enterprise operating systems
?Experience in configuring, deploying, and supporting web server platforms including but not limited to Apache Traffic Server, Couchbase/Memcached, Tomcat, Apache, PHP, Zend.
?Bi-lingual Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
