Ocean State Job Lot (www.oceanstatejoblot.com), a US based department store company, looking for Chief Merchandiser/Sourcing to join our Guangzhou Buying Office:

Main Responsibilities:

Proactively & closely interact with US buyers/merchandisers on a regular basis; thoroughly understand customer needs, industry trend, identifying potential business opportunities and values that we can deliver to marketplaces.

Analyze and & participant in developing specific Sourcing and Merchandising strategies, goals, and specific action plan, assure rapid-fire decision is made and be implemented accordingly for all sourcing projects.

Act as a liaison for global procurement activities oversee open projects and PO's launched on a daily basis, assure all be completed in a time manner and industry specs be addressed and met, maintain all data traceable on all reports.

Develop and maintain a well structured vendor base to satisfy the current and future business needs, coach and train vendors to deliver constantly improved performances to our mutual clients, measuring vendors' performances and establish core and backup vendors for all categories:

Requirements:
- College degree, good command of English and Chinese
- With years of experiences for food and food related items for US market, know FDA,SID and other related compliance for US market, know nutrition and ingredient information

- Motivated, self-starter
-Sense of responsibility and urgency, work under pressure, be able to manage multiple priorities and flexible to change
priorities from time to time
- Strong inter-person and negotiation skill
- Good analytical skills, familiar with retailer business, US chain store buying experiences are preferred
