Responsibilities:

Quality Engineer is responsible for communicating and follow-up to implement the global programs and protocols in the plant to ensure quality and food safety in process and product. It leads continuous improvement projects using quality engineering skills and Six Sigma Process Improvement Methodology including but not limited to, Statistics and Process Capability, Quality Systems Auditing, Statistical Process Control, Pareto Analysis, and Cost of Quality.
Quality Engineer works with PE team and Production Team closely to develop and validate preventative action for quality issue and reduce rejection rate.

* Quality and food safety preventive programs
1.Developing & maintaining various preventive programs in process by communicating and follow-up to implement the global & local SOPs and protocols.
2.Validation and verification of the Quality and food safety preventive programs
3.Coordinate training and qualification to operators on the Quality and food safety preventive programs
4.Maintain Change Control Program related to quality and food safety

* Continued improvement projects
1.Lead investigation and improvement on quality incidents, complaint, nonconformities and deviations in order to achieve structural external & internal defect reduction
2.Quality and food safety audit and risk assessment
3.Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current process and process changes.
4.Define and lead continuous improvements projects based on statistical analysis
5.Create and implement a system for establishing process capabilities for manufacturing and laboratory equipment.
6.Efficiency improvement utilizing the 6 Sigma tools & technique.
7.Drive culture of continuous improvement by training and coach of quality engineering skills and Six Sigma Process Improvement Methodology to plant team.

Essential
* At least bachelor’s degree on food technology, chemistry or biological science.
* 4 years or more QA/QC/QE related experience in Flavors / Fragrances or food processing industry. Good knowledge of quality management systems, GMP and HACCP.
* Strong project management skill. Good mastering of quality engineering skills and Six Sigma Process Improvement Methodology.
* Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
* Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills

Preferred
* A certification by the American Society of Quality or equivalent as one or more of the following is strongly encouraged: Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, Certified Reliability Engineer, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
* Experience in quality system and Chinese regulatory of food safety is preferred.
* Good communication skills especially reading and writing in English.
