Head of Chinese Department

The British School of Guangzhou is looking to recruit an experienced teacher of Chinese Mandarin to lead our team of Chinese teachers. As the lead member of the Chinese department, The Head of Chinese will be an outstanding leader, organiser and classroom practitioner who develops students directly by inspiring and enabling other staff, to become the best that they can be.

Applicants should be qualified to teach Chinese to native and second language speakers, will have excellent English and ideally will have experience of teaching in and international school or environment.

The following are considered essential for all applicants:
? A bachelors degree or higher
? A recognised teaching qualification
? Excellent spoken English
? A cheerful and positive personality
? A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
? An ability to teach native Chinese as well as Chinese second language

The following are considered desirable for all applicants:
? Experience in an international environment
? Good interpersonal skills (a team player)
? Experience of using technology to enhance learning
? Experience teaching a wide age-range of students
? Experience of the IGCSE or A-Level programme

The British School of Guangzhou
The British School of Guangzhou is at the forefront of international education in China.
