This role is at the intersection of all the hottest IT trends of Big Data, the Internet of Things and Cloud. BDNA Data as a service is revolutionizing how enterprises make sense of their data. This will be a challenging and forward leaning role which includes working directly with Fortune 100 companies with massive scale. Our success hinges on one of our core offerings, Technopedia Discover.

Technopedia Discover is an agent-less discovery solution that does not require highly privileged account access yet able to discover hundreds of thousands of assets in a matter of hours. It scans assets across multiple data centers and firewall zones. The discover engine is fueled by the largest fingerprint repository of any discovery solution in the market.

We are looking for an extraordinary software engineer to be a key contributor to Technopedia Discover. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and maintenance of software and hardware "fingerprints". Fingerprints are collection of rules and signature files that fuel Technopedia Discover. They contain digital identities (or fingerprints) that will identify and categorize over 450,000 types of hardware and software products to provide trusted, complete, and enriched IT inventory information.
This role requires strong Java and Perl programming skills along with familiarity with C#, XML and regular expressions.

BDNA is a privately held company, experiencing very strong growth. We’re headquartered in Mountain View, California (U.S.A.). This role will be located in our local Guangzhou office.



Technical Skills:

Strong Java and Perl programming skills
Familiarity with Linux, databases, and software setup configuration
Familiarity with C#, XML and regular expressions is preferred



Personal qualities:

Self-starter, willing to take initiative in solving challenging problems
Resourceful
Ability to work both independently and on a team
Strong ability in English reading and communication skills



Education:

Bachelors Degree in Software Development or equivalent
