Key Responsibilities:

To build upon an existing range of non food grocery products across all 4 countries, and developing new innovation in the category.

·Build a trade plan for existing range to maximise the sales potential.

·Develop a strong new product development plan to build on the existing range and grow sales across Asia.

·Investigate the supply base and build relationships with local buying teams 1-2 times per month.

Requirements:

·3-5 years buying experience, preferably across a few different product areas

·Product development experience in Grocery/Beverage is preferable

·Strong influencing skills, be able to influence at all levels and can be reluctant to challenge their colleagues, especially senior ones

·Very proactive

·Good English

·Enthusiastic/Confident. Positive, outgoing and comfortable with new people at all levels, enjoy relationship building

·Highly organised and efficient

·Product knowledge in this area is helpful

·Can accept frequent travel

Tesco Sourcing was established in Hong Kong in 1977, currently sourcing from 1,596 factories across 45 countries.

Tesco Sourcing is the sourcing operation of Tesco, for F&F Clothing and General Merchandise products. With our main office in Hong Kong, we operate through hubs in 7 countries and have more than 500 colleagues working with us across Asia, the Indian subcontinent and Europe.

Our colleagues work in different countries/regions, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Thailand, Turkey, Cambodia, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UK, Vietnam, Romania, Pakistan, Poland - a diverse workplace representing 23 nationalities across our people. Our colleagues create and source high quality own-brand Clothing and General Merchandise ranges for Tesco, from ethical and sustainable sources of supply.
