RESPONSIBILITIES & ROUTINES
Perform internal lab tests using our methods and tools.
Initiate & follow up external lab tests.
Follow H&M Chemical Test Routine.
Update "chemical fail list" every month and make sure all products from suppliers appearing on that list are tested.
Use OFS for all registration and follow up of tests.
Keep the lab equipment in good condition.
Educate new colleagues in the chemical tests.

COOPERATION WITH H&M CHEMICAL RESPONSIBLE AND OTHER PO'S
Keep a close cooperation with H&M Chemical Responsible and update them on local projects/possible new ways to solve/avoid previous problems.
Inform H&M Chemical Responsible when new staff members are joining that will work with chemical tests. Discuss correlation testing of new staff members with H&M Chemical Responsible.
Keep close contact with other PO labs in order to share experience and learn from each other.
Check with H&M Chemical Responsible before investing in expensive new testing equipment.

COOPERATION WITH OTHER TEAMS
Work closely with R&D team & Merch team to analyze potential quality problems already in development stage.
Support Merch team to solve quality problems which might occur during order follow up.
Inform all office in case there are changes in H&M Chemical restrictions.
Cooperate closely with colleagues in the physical quality lab and the colour technicians.
Support CSR auditors concerning chemical issues.
Support sourcing team to evaluate new suppliers, wash units, dyers etc.

COOPERATIONWITH EXTERNAL PARTIES
Cooperate closely with our external labs.
Monitor lead times, tests and prices.
Communicate with chemical companies and make new external contacts necessary to solve problems.

COOPERATION WITH H&M SUPPLIERS
Inform suppliers on how to comply with H&M Chemical Restrictions in the best way.
Make chemical audits of dye mills, print houses, washing facilities etc.
Evaluate the suppliers and give material/feedback to QAM/PM/seniors/merch and the suppliers.
Initiate meetings with supplier when a test has failed. Request an explanation and an action plan to solve the problem (for that order AND for future).

BACKGROUND

A) Education Graduate from textile or technical high school, preferably chemistry dept. or chemistry engineering dept. of university.

B) Work experience Preferably experience in textile lab, dye house, print house, dye stuff company or similar position in supplier or representative office. Color technicians must have a superior color vision. (should have a score of max 16. Fornworth in munsell 100 hue color test.)
