Software Configuration Manager

Lead Software Configuration Manager (aka Release Manager)
1. A Lead Software Configuration Manager manages a team of Software Configuration Management specialists, and owns the software deployment and environment configuration processes, within the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC).
2. The process can be performed for different projects utilizing different approaches –waterfall, agile or based on Continuous Integration.
3. The Lead Software Configuration Manager leads the planning and execution of software builds and deployment, and the setting or update of the software development environments.
4. As owner of the software deployment and environment configuration processes, he is in charge of defining and continuously improving those processes. He must be recognized within Elephant Talk as the reference point in terms of software deployment, providing guidance and coaching on that process throughout the company.


Skill requirements:
1. Proficient on Software Configuration Management tools like Subversion, git, etc.
2. Practical experience in managing Windows and Linux environments.
3. Practical experience in defining and leading the execution of software deployment and environment configuration processes.
4. Practical experience in using scripts and software build automation tools.
5. Experience with Atlassian JIRA would be a plus.
