Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada

Responsibilities:


Reporting to Planning and Scheduling Team Lead,Plan and prepare routine and preventive maintenance (Mechanical / Piping) activities for efficient execution of maintenance across Shell Albian Sands.
Execute maintenance planning tasks in accordance with Shell Maintenance Execution process.
Review and analyze work orders ready for planning for correctness and adequacy.
Manage planning backlog and interface with production area OMC (Operations Maintenance Coordinator) to define priorities.
Ensure work order coding is accurately reflected in terms of equipment, priority, and financial coding.
Prepare complete job plans for the efficient execution of corrective mechanical work. This involves:
Conducting field visits to scope job requirements
Including HSE Requirements, Job Steps, Support Crafts Requirements, Materials, Fabrication Steps, Cost Estimate, Engineering and Inspection Requirements, and Operation requirements in plans.
Review together with OMC if planning duration exceeds initial expectations.
Initiate requisition of non stock items.
Check that planned work is within realistic completion dates.
Interfacing with the Scheduler, Analyst, and Maintenance and Operations Coordinators to determine work activities.
Perform PM (Preventive Maintenance) jobs load leveling and resource smoothing for the next 3 month windows
Interfacing with Engineering and QA/QC group on incorporating requirements
Initiating the procurement of materials and equipment as required.
Evaluate job feedback to improve future work and update best plans
Create, use and maintain plant history and other technical information to include in current job plans.
Interfaces with project and plant change planning as required.
Assist with turnaround and plant changes when needed.


Requirements:


Grade 12 Diploma
Maintenance background (Journeyman Certification: Millwright/ Pipefitter/ Instrumentation/ Electrician)
3-5 years in a Planning or Scheduling position is desired
Minimum of 3 years relevant field experience
Experience in planning for multiple crafts
Proficiency in CMMS systems, specifically Equipment Maintenance, Purchasing Modules
SAP experience is an asset
Proficient in MS Work, Excel, MS Project
Knowledge of maintenance business processes and best practices, roles of specific trades, and manufacturing processes in an Upgrader, Refinery or similar Petrochemical operation
Strong organizational and effective time management skills
Flexibility in managing changing priorities and ability to work with minimum supervision
Courses and seminars in the following area: Scheduling, Planning, Estimating, and Time Management are an asset
Experience in a team environment is desired
May influence indirectly on the Maintenance Annual Budget

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday / 10 hrs
