Report to Fabric Director

This successful buying office from big retailer is seeking a fabric technologist to join the team.
Establish good and long-term relationship with the suppliers.
The fabric technologist will be responsible for sourcing innovative and cost effective fabrics for the company’s design trends, which would be effective and on time to the high-standard critical path.
Monitoring and approving production and bulk fabric, liaising with buyer teams and technical teams on fabric performance and testing, and maintaining effective communication on all buyers and technical colleagues’ aspects of the fabric required.

Working closely with head office and production office overseas, the fabric technologist need to be able to develop fashionable styles from concept to production.
Previous experience in a similar role along with ladies & young fashion wear experience is essential.
The successful candidates should have more than 3 years in fabric sourcing and merchandising. Fluent in English and French would be plus.
