Position details

To define and design illumination concepts

To define LED source (type, number, position)

To cooperate with Mechanics to define parts such as pointers, light boxes, light guides

To cooperate with serigraphy to define dial characteristics

To drive simulation off shore team for critical optical parts

To identify and define tools needed to support development activities

To release optical specifications following incoming or internal requirements

To perform design, measurements and validation tests with in-house optical lab

To support and monitor supplier to insure quality expected at each milestones

To audit with purchaser and quality department potential new or current suppliers

To make cost saving studies

To support other MM skills during development (Mechanics, Software, hardware, System)

To support production for ramp up and running phases

To follow corporate design guide lines and quality procedures

To organize design reviews

To follow project milestones defined by the project leader

To report to the professional line team leader about workload and achievements

Education background

Master degree, optics, optical engineering or relevant field

Professional background

At least 3 years of experience in illumination systems

Design of illumination systems (automotive, consumer, avionics, industrial business areas)

Skills Background
